Agronomy_Congress

Dear all,
Welcome.
The Third International Agronomy Congress would be held from Nov. 26 upto Nov. 30 in which 1,000 Scientists from 27 member countries would participate. The Venue would be PUSA situated ICAR. The subject of the Congress would be agriculture diversification, Climate change, Management, & Sustenance. Many exhibitions would be held with more than 50 institutes, related to agricultural technology, participating in it. Due to temperature rise, it is one of the main challenging areas. Besides labour management, post agriculture management, & other subjects are emerging hot topics.The Scientists stated that the youth should be interested in agriculture area. It should also be discussed during the congress.
Volcano: After a decade, New zealand's volcano erupted causing spread of ash in the atmosphere. Due to it, air flights are affected as the ash went as high as upto 3 kms. Scientists predicted that further eruption may also occur.The Volcano at Mt. Tongairiro erupted for the second time. The specialists on Volcanos, Brad scott, told that in the next week, another eruption may occur.

Fortune_Women_list

The ICICI's MD & CEO had remained on the top of most powerful Women's list. The list is prepared by the US Magazine, Fortune. Second to her is TAFE's Mallika Srinivasan, who is also on the TATA's Board. Third rank was held by Capgemini's Aruna Jayanti. The list includes 50 most powerful women folks.

In the list are 6 new entrants with 19 positions uplifted too whereas 17 went down the list. Fortune India's Editor describes it as with major changes. The domestic industry has increased effect of women folks. The top 10 includes Axis Bank's MD Shikha Sharma, Britannia's MD Vinita Bali, HT media Chairperson, Shobhna Bhartiya, Apollo Hospital MD P.Reddy, AGB partners Co-founder, Jia Modi, NSE's JMD, Chitra Ramakrishna, & Crisil Director, Rupa Kudwa.
 
New Entrants include Colgate Palmolive's MD, Prabha Parameshwaran, Morgan Stanley's MD, Aisha d'Siquera, Intel(S.Asia) MD(Sales&Marketing) D.Ghosh, Diegio India Head Ambati Shankarnarayana, Spencer Stuart's Managing partner, Anjali Bansal, Tupperware India's MD, Asha Gupta. Disaster&Pollution

Disasters: It is learnt that a plane in Japan, during its travel, suffered lightning stroke. Emergency landing was done resulting in safe evacuation of all passengers.
Also, a major accident was averted at Chowdhury Charan Singh Airport at Lucknow, when a helicopter came in front of Mumbai-Lucknow Indigo Airlines plane during its landing. Airport Director told that investigation is being conducted about how the plane reached landing run way during the presence of the helicopter. The Indigo Airlines plane was carrying 180 passengers.
 
Pollution: It is also to note that today is the most polluted day of the year. With celebrations amidst Diwali festive season, the smoke emanating from the fire cracker's bursting had caused people breathing difficulty as also as eye itching.
As per the Indian Institute of Tropical meteorology (IITM), Pune & Indian Meteorological dept., there would be increase in SPM, along with poisonous gases. However, as compared to the previous festival, it is 10% less. The System of Air Quality Forecasting & Research suspected that immediate next day would also be not environment friendly. Due to pollution, there would be health related problems. The smoke would be there in atmosphere uptil Nov.15 early morning. Also, there was crackers waste spread across the roads.
FDI: The CPI(M) stated today that all opposing political parties should gather in a Forum so that govt. considers FDI allowing as serious matter. Earlier, the Party leader told that FDI opposition is a priority issue for CPI(M) & it shall oppose during the upcoming session. It would also raise other issues like price hike, Coal gate scam & other matters. CPI leader, S.Yetchury, demanded that government should take decision upon wider consensus in this regard.

Malala_day/2G

The Pak Human rights activist, Yousufzai Malala,  had been honoured as UN declared 10 November to be celebrated as Malala day every year. Advocating Women's education, she was attacked by Talibanis past month. UN's official website stated that Education is a basic right of every one & development is through it. Malala has become an icon of bravery by raising voices of 10 lakh people who doesn't go to school. British ex-PM,Gordon Brown, declared Nov. 10 as Malala day. British senior minister commented that her bravery had emphasized upon need of education for all Pakistanis.
The Pak govt. has declared to provide scholarships to more than 30 lakh poor family girl students. President had approved it on Friday. Under the scheme, every girl shall be given 109 rupees per month.

 
2G Scam: The Supreme Court had stopped Delhi High Court's hearing of 2G spectrum allocation's pending petition. Also, various parties had been issued notices to give reply against the CBI's application within a period of six weeks. The CBI had cited SC's order dated Apr 11, 2011 wherein it was stated that no other agency would be allowed to hear the case. Earlier, on Nov. 8, it expressed it's anguish over hearing of the same by HC.
Anti-Corruption: The Central government had stated that during the upcoming auctioning of spectrum, the bidding companies would be allowed to take easy loan by way of ECB. The successful bidder would be allowed to refinance the loan taken initially from domestic banks. It would be self approved. It is to note that Spectrum auctioning would begin on Nov.12.
The telecon. companies sought relaxation in ECB rules as Banking industry is reluctant in this regard. Earlier too, for development in telecon. sector during 2010, the govt. had sanctioned payment of loan by way of external loan. It would be applicable to successful bidders only as "Bridge Finance".

Political_outlook

Statue desecration: Dr. B.R.Ambedkar's Statue at Muradabad was desecrated by anti-social elements. The hand is broken of the statue located at Chandosi road on the banks of Gagan river. Police had increased it's patrolling. The repair work is also started. The place comes under border of Majhola & Mainather police post.

Congress Samavad camp : It would be held at Faridabad from Friday onwards. It would involve CWC members along with Central Cabinet ministers. INC secretary, Dwivedi, had told that present political scenario along with economic challenges would be discussed in addition to analysis of 2009 manifesto. This would also include special strategies to be taken for upcoming 2014 general election.
Around 70 leaders are expected to grace the occasion.

RSS: The RSS had claimed that their work had increased since past one year. In 2011, where there were 25,834 branch  places, in 2012 there are 26,900 branches. Also, no. of branches had increased from 38,700 to 40,000 approx.
This data is as claimed by Jaipur region assistant coordinator of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The All India representative meet would be held in the upcoming 15,16 & 17 March at Jaipur, wherein 1400 members would participate.
The branches are filled with youths & children. The branch places with persons aged 45 or more is only 3390. Besides, more than 10,000 places conduct weekly meet & around 8,000 places have programmes held by Sangh.
Rajasthan is divided into three regions viz. Jaipur, Jodhpur & Chittor. Last year there were 894 branch places but now it is 1020. At 54,947 places, Guru Dakshina programmes were held with more than 20 lakhs volunteers participation in it.
Also, Trinidad has witnessed Education classes of Sangh. 
BJP: The RSS had tightened it's noose upon those opening frontal attacks against BJP President Gadkari. Also, warning is issued for not speaking in public. Earlier, BJP MP told that giving clean chit to Gadkari from BJP is unfortunate. He would not leave party. Even L.K.Advani's opinion was not heeded by Sangh. The Sangh had got statement issued by Sushma Swaraj & Arun Jaitley for indicating it's stance.
RSS envoy had put the entire matter on twitter, which states denial of corruption charges against him & it had nothing to do with him. Ram Jethmalani's statement was severely criticized by BJP secretary & spokesman.
Naxalites: The District Police, Rajnandgaon(CG), STF & ITBP's joint team had seized a big storage of weapons & explosives at forest area in Churia area. It includes items for making of time bombs, detonators, rounds etc. It is supposed that Naxalites were about to plan an attack.
The Press meet at local Police control room by IG (Durg Range) told that as per information from local sources, dumped weapons were found at two places. At forest area of Churia area, Naxalites had hided weapons, which were found during searching by  Joint team.
The stock contained 2 containers of 15 kgs & 30 kgs, 09 nos. electronic detonators, SLR rounds 09, AK 47 round 01, but 1, but rexin 02 mtr, Lead 02 nos, Small battery 03 nos., aerial communication set 02, Time bomb material(diode, condenser, & transistor) 08 nos, Battery charger 01, Male female pins 02, Switch 01 pair, Flag 01 & Maoist literature too.
Also, at Bhopalpatanam block of Bijapur district, they threw pamphlets citing security forces for rape & wantedly defaming Naxalites.
It is also to note that due to Naxalites, the Raoghat mines project is not started and is left in abeyance, which was scheduled to be completed by 2015.
