Environ.day,Syria,Boko_Haram,Court_rulings,Sexual_violence&Pakistan, :

Dear all,
Welcome. Today is World Environment day. The theme for it is "Raise your voice, not sea level". The year had been declared as year of "Small Islands developing States((SIDS)".
Syria: Upon Presidential elections in Syria, US had stated that President Bashar had lost his credibility and it would not be affecting the elections. Russia had demanded appointing of another representative in lieu of UN's Lakhdar Brahmi.
US foreign ministry spokesperson had stated that in any free society, voters play an important role so that suitable representative is elected. Syrian process is not having public support. Attacks on refugee camps are continuing. Bashar is knowingly oppressing political workers.
Russian Ambassador had criticized European Union's viewpoint. On 13th May, UN & Arab league's Special ambassador had resigned.
Boko Haram: Nigerian terrorist outfit, Boko Haram, had killed dozens of people in fresh attacks. At Cameroon border, terrorist had attacked Borno State's villages. The people were asked to go to Church's compound. People were under illusion that they belong to Army. Later, they had fired upon them.  
Court rulings:
1. Sahara: Supreme Court had rejected bail petition of Sahara chief and two other directors. Sahara group had pleaded afresh for providing bail amount of 5,000 crore INR in cash & another 5,000 crore by way of Bank guarantee on May 29. The Sahara group would be selling it's three hotels to Bank of China. Supreme Court had asked to proceed for sale along with Bank of China. It was asked to furnish details of sale proceedings within a period of one week.
It is to note that Sahara had been found violating of non-payment of investors money amounting 24,000 crore INR raised through OCDs.
2. JBT scam: Haryana's Ex-CM, Chautala, had been granted three week's interim bail for attending rituals of his brother. He had filed personal bond of five lakh INR and two bail persons. It is to note that he had been sentenced in JBT teachers recruitment scam for a period of ten years by Lower Court.
The Court had stated that it is undoubtful that he is family head. It is important to attend such rituals. Earlier, Court had asked CBI to find out on what rituals he had to participate. CBI had filed a report seeking interim bail to be reduced to twelve days. The Rohini Court had sentenced him, his son, & Ex-IAS officer including ten others for a period of ten years of imprisonment.
3. Saradha chit fund scam: Supreme Court had already ruled to take investigation upon highest level. 
CBI had registered 46 cases against Saradha Chit fund scam. The accused include TMC leader and other govt. officials too. These cases had been registered  in West Bengal & Odisha. Odisha had got 43 such matters registered. As per CBI, role of SEBI, RBI & MCA ministry would be checked in it. CBI would be finding the source of money involved in it.
Sexual violence: US had stated that it is fearful of sexual violence and killings thereof. Also, it had praised personnel, govt. officials, and civil society groups for providing security against such incidents.
US had stated that it's sentiments are with aggrieved families. Foreign ministry spokesman had stated about reaction to past week's gangrape & subsequent killings. As was stated, law and thinking is difficult to change. US praises efforts made by personnel, govt. officials and civil society groups against such incidents.
USIBC President had stated that govt. mechanism need to be corrected at such places where those incidents occured especially women and society should be free from fear. It could render tourist and investors from coming to India.
Pakistan: Pakistan had increased its Defence budget by 11%. It amounts to 70000 crore Rupees. Pakistan finance minister had stated that it could not remain aloof from Talibani rebels. Fin. minister had stated that after failure of talks along with Taliban, Army is conducting campaigns at Afghan border areas.
