Voters_day,Naxalites,AAP&Smaller_states

Dear all,
Welcome. Today is National Voters day. Also, tomorrow Republic day would be celebrated.
Naxalite/Salwa Judum: The National Investigation Agency has identified two Maoist leaders who allegedly masterminded last year's Naxal attack on Congress party convoy in Chhattisgarh's 'Darbha valley'.
The duo--Surendra, who leads Darbha divisional committee of CPI (Maoist), and Jailal, head of its second regional command division--have been identified as the accused who led the brutal attack in which the entire state Congress leadership was wiped out, official sources said. The duo were identified on the basis of interrogation of key Naxal leader G V K Prasad alias Gudsa Usendi by NIA. Prasad and his wife Santoshi Markam had surrendered on January 7 before the Andhra Pradesh Police. The NIA had later taken Prasad's custody.Prasad is understood to have told NIA interrogators that both Surendra and Jailal planned the attack with the help of other Naxal cadres. A hunt has been launched to trace and arrest these two Naxal leaders, they said.
Prasad was the 'spokesperson' of Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC) and Markam alias Jaini was 'divisional committee' member of DKSZC press unit. At least 27 people including Mahendra Karma, founder of anti-Naxal movement 'Salwa Judum', and Nand Kumar Patel, chief of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee, were killed in the attack on May 25, 2013 in Darbha valley under Sukma district.
Veteran Congress leader Vidya Charan Shukla, who was also injured in the attack, later succumbed to his injuries in a Gurgaon hospital. NIA is probing the attack.-PTI

AAP: AAP had released eight videos for defending it's (Delhi's)law minister. It had given clean chit to him based upon those videos. AAP had stated that he had not done any misbehaviour towards any women during the raid rather Delhi Police had not taken any action against them.
Based upon complaints of Ugandan women, NCW had issued summon against Law minister but he had not sent any reply. As he had not presented himself despite ultimatum being sent to him, NCW might meet Dy. Governor in this regard. It is to note that minister had gone to Khidki extension on Jan.15 alleging sex racket working there.
Foreign minister had stated that AAP is spreading anarchy and destroying the system. It contains third class people of the country. He stated that it is not in race for LokSabha elections.
There are some time tested things & AAP is bending them. They make fun & is actually a danger to the system. They are anarchist. AAP had claimed that on first day of it's membership campaign, ten lakh people became member. The foreign minister also claimed that opinion regarding AAP got changed within a period of fifteen days. He told that those seeking referendum in Kashmir are questioning India's integrity by making such comments.

Election survey: As per two surveys, BJP would emerge as biggest opposition party. India today C voter survey had predicted 188 seats out of 543 for BJP. CNN-IBN & CSDS survey had predicted 41-49 seats in 80 seated UP State. As per India Today C voter, no party would gain majority.
With regards,

Announces separate committees for both regions ahead of the general elections
At its maiden meeting on the State soil, the leadership of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has supported separate Telangana on the ground that the party generally favoured decentralisation of power which was possible in smaller States.
The party announced setting up of separate State committees for Telangana and Andhra and a campaign committee for the ensuing general elections.
Initially, an eight-member coordination panel headed by B. Ramakrishnam Raju, State convenor of the National Alliance of People’s Movements (NAPM), was constituted.
The national executive member of AAP and senior Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan who addressed media persons on the sidelines of a public meeting at A.V. College ground here on Saturday did not hazard a guess on the number of seats that the fledgling party would contest but said it would enter polls in both Telangana and Seemandhra.
“We want to contest in as many constituencies in the State and country depending on the availability of reasonable party machinery and good candidates”.
Sloganeering at venue
The meeting was marred by slogan shouting by Telangana and Seemandhra supporters with the latter objecting to the party favouring bifurcation of the State.
In the midst of the confusion, some BJYM activists arrived to protest against Mr. Bhushan’s remarks in the past seeking a referendum on Kashmir issue.
The police took eight of them into preventive custody.
Rules out alliances, proposes merger
Mr. Bhushan ruled out AAP entering into pre-poll alliances and said like minded parties such as Lok Satta were welcome to merge with the former. Some discussions with Lok Satta had taken place but no conclusion was reached.
On reports that the BJP was trying to poach five AAP MLAs in Delhi, he said he had not heard about it but the BJP was trying a lot more things. The Congress also wanted to split the party. However, both of them would not succeed.
He also said the character of Congress, BJP and most of the regional parties was the same as they believed in centralisation of power and dividing people on caste and religious lines to win votes.
The AAP’s poll plank will be corrupt free nation, good governance and participatory role of people in democracy. The party felt these were bigger challenges than the issue of Telangana.
Mr. Bhushan earlier inaugurated the party office at Panjagutta.
