Alert/Terrorist attacks:[1] The intelligence dept. had issued a alert about terrorist attacks on seven airports. The alert stated that terrorist could target airports this time. The airports of major cities like metropolitan cities are suspected targets. Also, airplane could be abducted. They could target by flying from smaller air strips. The attack could involve new explosives. After the alert, country's chief airports security is increased.
[2]Iraq: The Iraq's capital, Baghdad, had suffered serial blasts yesterday thereby resulting in death of 32 people whereas 96 were severely wounded. As per Home ministry sources, all blasts occured in a car. As per Xinhua, the blasts occured when all people assembled at a Coffee shop during evening after observing the entire day Ramzan. A Car blast occured at New Baghdad district causing death of four people, whereas eight got injured. In another attack on govt. supported Sahva paramilitary group, local leader and four people got killed. The blast happened at 30 kms away from Baghdad. Earlier bomb blasts caused deaths of Shia populated districts of Karadah, New Baghdad, Tobji, Shurta Al Rabia, Movasalah, Um al Tubol, and Jafrania. Thirty people had died along with 77 wounded. It happened after the Namaz(prayer).
[3]Taliban: In Afghanistan 29 terrorists are killed by Afghan security forces. As per Xinhua, in a terrorist attack at Khost province, a mayor along with six people got killed. As per Officials, Joint Operations of Security forces and coalition forces at Ghazni, Herat, Nanghar, & Khost province had resulted in death of 20 armed Taliban terrorists. Besides, 12 terrorists are wounded whereas six are arrested. As per Xinhua, Afghanistan Home minister had stated that in a talibani attack on Saturday, a Police personnel and two terrorists were killed.
BJP President: After proposed expansion of BJP's Election campaign committee, it's President is on US visit. He had attended US Senate, where a senior Senator had described about his political career including Narendra Modi's development model and asked for his Visa. US Senator had described Modi as a strong PM candidate. As per him, the time had come for having new relations with Gujarat CM.
It is the first time in US Parliament when any Indian Opposition leader had been welcomed there. It is his first ever US visit and at the time when Fin. Minister and Commerce Minister had returned from there. The US Senator is also member of sub-committee looking for Asian matters. He had described the first South Indian State govt. by his party made during his tenure. He also thanked him for his efforts in strengthening Indo-US relations.
Mid day meal: The Bihar's mid day meal incident had been probed by Forensic Science laboratory, that had resulted in death of 23 childrens. It is found that the vegetable oil used had been contaminated with Organo-Phosphorus. FSL had concluded it's results based upon the standards set in National S&T library database. It was due to pesticide monocrotophos, which had been mixed in the oil. The contents had been five times more than that as per standards. FSL had checked the utensils and plates.
Swiss Women Gangrape: The ADJ Court at MP had sentenced all six accused in Swiss women gangrape case for lifetime imprisonment. Also, a fine of ten thousand rupees each had been put. Besides, compensation of 50,000 INR had been granted to the accused out of the fine imposed. The defendant lawyer had stated that they would be appealing before the High Court. The govt. prosecutor had stated that Police had filed the charge sheet within eleven days of this high profile incident before the Court. It is to note that the Swiss couple had halted at Madhya Pradesh's Datia district's Bhuta forest in a tent. The accused had stolen their laptop, mobile and 10,000 INR cash.
Gamechanger(Food security): SP: CBI had decided to close the matter regarding disproportionate assets held by SP party leader. It had enraged spark in political circles. The BJP had termed it as an example of misuse of the agency whereas Congress had suggested to not view it along with Food security issue.
BJP spokesman stated that Congress had used CBI for political objectives by making SP leader advocating for food security. The Congress had got support from BSP by virtue of this reason. But Congress party doesn't view it likewise. It's spokesman had stated that SP leader's decision can't be affected solely due to it. CBI is an independent agency. The spokesman had also rejected the idea that CBI is safeguarding Ex-Rail minister, Bansal, in the bribery scam.
The Supreme Court had made it clear that Dimple Yadav's income could not be included in his assets. As per CBI official, the case would have been against him had the property of Dimple Yadav been linked with his assets. CBI had investigated the documents and based upon it, it had decided to close the matter.
2G Scam: A Delhi's Court had summoned Reliance's ADAG Group Chairman along with his wife as witness. The direction is being given based upon investigation by CBI. The accused company, Swan Telecom, had investment of 990 crores INR from ADAG for which he is being summoned. A total of twelve personnel are told to be present before the Court. The Spl. Court had stated their statements as witnesses to be necessary. It is being directed as per CBI's petition. Citing the responsibility of both, their role cannot be overlooked. Their decision for stakes in Swan telecon. would certainly have a role. Thus, for confirming the facts, their presence is required.
The information coming out on record about the group's investment needs witnesses as it is not sufficient.
The SBI Officials, & HDFC Officials would be present as witness to identify signatures of ADAG Officials, Surendra Pipara, Gautam Doshi, & Hari Nair. Also, one witness had been summoned again.
Corporate lobbyist: The Corporate lobbyist, Nira Radia, had stated that during the constitution of the ministry, she had talked along with the then telecon. minister, Kanimozhi. She had given her statement before the Patiala House Court before Spl. Judge.
She had told that during the November 2007, the then Tata Group Chairman had handed her a letter in a closed cover for DMK chief, Karunanidhi. The contents of it is not clear to her. She had met telecon. minister, Raza, at his Office during November 2008. She had given the statement after the recording of the same were showed to her. The govt. prosecutor had showed them stating that it contains records of her talks along with accused, Chandolia.
The Patiala House Court had kept it's verdict safe upon petition of S.Swamy. He had demanded a copy of JPC's report containing the then telecon. minister's statement. The verdict would be given on July 23.
LokAyukt: The appointment of LokAyukt in Gujarat State had been delayed which had given Congress a chance to attack on Modi's model of governance. It had stated that the govt. had been going to Court due to fear and spent around 45 crore INR. There had been dispute since the year 2006. The GujaratLokAyukt law had been formed during 1984 and has provision for Governor to consult Chief Justice and Opposition leader. Modi govt. is stated to be against it.
The govt. had filed a review petition, which had been rejected on July 18 by the Supreme Court. It is learnt that Chief Justice had suggested the name of R.A.Mehta for it. It had been approved by the Governor.
Rail bribery Scam: The Ex-Rail minister, Bansal, had not been made accused in CBI's charge sheet but his involvement had political repercussions. He had been made as govt. witness. The Opposition leader, Jaitley, and BJP General Secretary, Prasad, had stated that CBI's investigation is being delusioned and efforts are being done to safeguard Bansal. The Opposition leader made it clear that he had a major role in the scam. He should have been made an accused.
The BJP's General Secretary had stated that rather than making him as prime accused, he is being safeguarded. It is an example of how Congress and Central govt. are destroying the investigating agencies and institutions.
On the other hand, I & B minister had stated that he had resigned on his own and matter is in Court. It is CBI, which had opened the matter. The trial is being run by the Court along with the media.

New York: BJP, which had so far maintained that it was not unduly bothered about denial of American visa to Narendra Modi, today said it will appeal to the US Administration to lift the travel ban on him.
Addressing a press conference here, party President Rajnath Singh said he would take up the issue with the US lawmakers in Washington during the week.
"I will appeal to the US government to clear the US visa to the Gujarat Chief Minister," he said.
The US Government had taken a decision not to give visa to Modi in the wake of the post-Godhra riots of 2002 in Gujarat and serious violation of human rights there.
The party had always maintained that Modi was not clamouring for a US visa but criticised the Administration on its stand saying he was a democratically elected popular leaders of the state.
Modi, who has been nominated as the chairman of BJP election campaign committee, has taken to addressing audiences in the US through video-conferencing.
Recently, a planned address by him to Wharton India Economic Forum was cancelled after some objections were raised in the institution.
Singh is on a five-day trip to New York and Washington on an outreach programme to meet the Indian diaspora.
On Tuesday, he will present a key note address on India, Afghanistan and regional security at a conference in Washington. - PTI

The veteral social activist, who once led Anti-corruption movement, and also recently gave a statement that Modi had not been communal is once again denying the same. Earlier during Janatantra rally, he had stated that Modi is not communal. But later he denied any such statement made by him. As per him, he had denied PM being an honest person. Also, his statement is misinterpreted. He had termed the entire BJP as communal. Modi had not condemned Godhra riots. As per news, he had not got any evidence of Modi being communal.
It is to note that earlier, he had praised Modi's development during the LokPal agitation.
